Terapeak Alternatives for UK eBay Sellers in 2026

Terapeak stopped being a separate product a while ago. eBay bought it, folded it into Seller Hub, and today it is called Product Research. If you are searching for an alternative, it is usually for one of three reasons: you want the answer on your phone in a shop, you want a profit figure after fees rather than a price, or you want to know what an item fetches somewhere other than eBay. This post takes each tool on its facts. Prices and features were checked on 27 August 2026, and the sources are listed at the end.

Product Research is included for sellers with access to Seller Hub, and there is a Research tab in the eBay app. It holds up to 3 years of eBay sales data and shows the average sold price, the sold price range, sell through rate and the number of sellers who sold the item. You can filter by date range, condition, listing format and by product identifiers such as UPC, EAN, ISBN, MPN and ePID. A related report, Sourcing Insights, needs a Basic Store subscription or above.

That is a lot, and for price history nothing else on this list matches it. What it does not do is calculate your profit. It reports what things sold for; the fees, postage and VAT are your job. It is also a search rather than a scan, so it suits a desk more than a charity shop aisle.

Before any paid tool, remember the free one built into the site. Search for the item, open the filters, tick Sold items, and every green price is what a buyer actually paid. The limitation is the window: completed listings only cover items that sold in the previous 90 days, against the 3 years in Product Research. ScanJunki is built for the shop floor rather than the desk. Scan a barcode with your phone, or type a product name or take a photo, and it returns current eBay listing prices, the number of units sold per listing, and your profit after fees for that item's category. The fee engine is the reason it exists: it applies the final value fee for the category (10.9% for most UK categories, 9.9% for electronics, 11.9% for home and garden), the 0.35% regulatory fee, the per order fee, Promoted Listings, postage and VAT, and it applies zero eBay fees for private sellers on UK domestic sales. Set a minimum profit and ROI once and every scan gives a buy or leave verdict.

It is free, with no card and no trial, on the web, the App Store and Google Play, and it covers eBay UK, US, Germany, Australia, France and Canada. What it does not do is price history: it shows current listings and units sold, not 3 years of sold data. If you need the history, use Product Research alongside it. Profit Prophet is an iPhone and iPad app that launched on 19 March 2026. It identifies an item from a photo, barcode, batch or text, pulls eBay.co.uk sold prices, deducts fees and shows a take home figure, and it also shows estimated prices on Vinted, Depop and Facebook Marketplace. Its App Store page lists subscriptions as Lite at £6.99 and Pro at £10.99, yearly at £71.99 and £109.99, with Hive Points credit packs from £2.39. The listing says fees are deducted automatically; it does not state the category rate used, so it is worth checking a result against eBay's published rate for your category.

ZIK Analytics is a desktop research suite aimed at people choosing what to list, with product and competitor research, category insights and a title builder across eBay sites. Its plans were listed at $14.99 to $39.90 a month in August 2026, up from where they stood a year earlier. It is a research tool for finding niches rather than a sourcing tool for checking one item in your hand, and it is priced in dollars.

None of these replaces Product Research for history, and Product Research does not replace a fee calculator. Most UK resellers end up with two: eBay's own tool for the desk and a scanner for the shop.
